Engineering Research and Innovation Grant: Areas of Focus
The areas of focus for this round of funding are:
Engineering Research (ER): Foster collaboration between engineers and scientists to develop new methods to solve problems relevant in our social context.
Engineering Teaching (ET): Advance the development and testing of materials to enhance the teaching of engineering disciplines.
Eligibility
This call is open to full-time PhD faculty/reserachers in any accredited Engineering discipline at KENET member institutions
a) Engineering Research (ER) Call Eligibility Requirements
Open to faculty/researchers with a PhD awarded within the past five (5) years
Applicants must have an existing research team or demonstrate the ability to establish a research team at their university, which must include full-time postgraduate students.
Demonstrated active research interest is required
b) Engineering Teaching (ET) Call Eligibility Requirements:
Open to faculty/researchers with a PhD awarded more than five (5) years prior to the date of this call.
Applicants must be active in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels within the last five (5) years.
Applicants must be based at an accredited engineering program at a Kenyan university with active postgraduate programs.
