CS/IS Research and Innovation Grant: Areas of Focus
The areas of focus for this round of funding are:
Research in Computer Science and Information Systems: Natural Language Processing for low-resourced Kenyan Language(s)
Enhancing Teaching of Computer Science and Information Systems Courses: Use of technology for the effective teaching and learning of fundamental computer science competencies
Eligibility
This call is open to full time computer science or information systems faculty at any of the KENET member institutions.
a) Research Call Eligibility Requirements
Open to full-time faculty in computer science and information systems
Applicants must hold a PhD awarded within the past five (5) years
Demonstrated active research interest is required
b) Teaching with educational Technologies Call Eligibility Requirements
Open to faculty/researchers with a PhD awarded more than five (5) yeras prior to the date of this call
Applicants must have been actively teaching computer scince and/or information systems courses in the past five (5) years
Evidence of engaging teaching materials and/or laboratory exercises developed within the last five (5) years is mandatory
Proposal Submission.
